I will miss Nora Ephron.   We should all watch "Heartburn" on Netflix Instant View in her honor.  It wasn't an award winning film, but it's one of my favorites.  Being semi-autobiographical it has a realism that is missing in her other romantic comedies, although I love them, too.  In her writing and interviews she could use an understated comedy to make us reflect on our humanity and humanness.

Catching up to you. That is so sad about your daughter.
And I'm so sorry that you are saddled with big medical bills.
My daughter was diagnosed at age 26 with breast cancer. Thank god she had insurance. She is well now at age 36, cancer free, and just had a baby. She gets medical coverage through a managed care plan (thank god).

Hattie, it is a friend's daughter who had stomach cancer. I, like you, have a daughter that had breast cancer at 27. She had great HMO coverage and is now five years out and life is good. But do you ever have the feeling that we are all just waiting for the other shoe to fall?

Yes, and that is why I am so relieved that ACA will stand.
